Calling in the Spring Saturday April 11 at NOON. At Bread and Puppet farm, in the field.
Join us for a participatory ritual to call in spring and hope, and banish everything bad. We will sing, dance, have a battle between winter and spring, burn an effigy, and eat sourdough crepes, round and golden like the sun.
Wear: Red! or, Dress like a bear for the bear parade. Bring: drums or bells. Parking: is limited, so yes, tickets are required! Unless the weather is severe, the ritual will take place outside, rain, snow, or shine so dress accordingly.

Summer Solstice Saturday June 20th at 8PM, at Bread and Puppet farm, in the field.
Join us for a participatory ritual to observe the longest day of the year and to honor and thank the sun, sky, trees, grasses, flowers, stones, and ancestors with song, dance, silence, and fire.
Wear: White. Flower/grass wreaths. Bring: Ocarina. Tickets here. Unless the weather is severe, the ritual will take place outside, rain or shine so dress accordingly.

Harvest Sunday September 13 at 3 PM, at Bread and Puppet Farm, in the field.
A participatory ritual to thank the apple trees, fields and garden, including a ceremonial planting of next years rye. Wear whatever you want. Bring something you harvested to be blessed. Samhain— Day of the Dead Saturday November 7 at 4 PM, at the Bread and Puppet Farm.

Wassail Saturday January 16, 2027 at 4 pm, at Cate Hill Orchard. Wassailing is an ancient practice of gathering together to sing to and honor the trees (and in some cultures the bees and farm animals as well) during the Christmas holiday season.  Following tradition, we will take time in the dead of winter to thank and bless our apple trees with toasts and libations, songs, fires, and incantations.  Wear: warm clothes! Bring: bells, musical instruments or noisemakers. Green men, Apple princesses, and wild beasts are welcome!  Parking is limited. tickets are required.
